Splashproof bulb with standard ground mouth is a glass instrument used in chemical experiments. It is mainly used to prevent liquid from splashing during operations such as distillation and rotary evaporation, thereby avoiding contamination of the instrument and loss of samples. It is usually spherical or double spherical, made of glass, with a certain volume, and can provide enough space to buffer the splashing liquid. Some splash guards use a double-layer glass structure, which can play an explosion-proof role. There are upper and lower ground mouths, which are used to connect with other instruments respectively. The ground mouth size is standard specifications, such as 14#, 19#, 24#, 29#, etc., which can be tightly connected with evaporating flasks, condensers, rotary evaporators, etc. of the same specifications to ensure the sealing of the device.It extends from the lower grinding mouth to the center of the ball, with a closed top and open sides. Its function is to guide the splashing liquid to the splash-proof ball on the side to prevent the liquid from directly rushing into the condenser or other instruments. 

During the distillation or rotary evaporation process, when the liquid splashes due to violent boiling or other reasons, the splashproof bulb will first hit the closed top of the splash-proof inner tube, and then fly from the side opening to the inner wall of the splash-proof sphere. The liquid flows along the inner wall to the lower part of the sphere, and then returns to the distillation flask through the reflux port to continue distillation, thus preventing the splashing liquid from entering the condenser or other instruments, avoiding sample contamination and loss.

The material of the splashproof bulb is usually high borosilicate glass, which has the following characteristics: High strength, able to withstand high temperatures and temperature changes; High hardness, wear-resistant; High temperature resistance, able to withstand temperature changes of 200°C; High transparency high light rate, ensures a clear vision during the experimental process; High chemical stability, acid and alkali resistance, suitable for various chemical experimental environments; Manual grinding: fine grinding, good sealing, ensures sealing and stability during the experiment.
