Air cooling condenser with standard ground mouth is a glass instrument used in chemical experiments, mainly used to cool hot steam during distillation or reflux. It is usually a slender straight glass tube, generally about 200-500 mm in length, similar in appearance to the standard ground-mouth straight condenser, but the air condenser does not have an outer water cooling jacket. Both ends are equipped with standard ground-mouth interfaces, common specifications are 14, 19, 24, etc., which can be tightly connected with other glass instruments with the same specifications of ground mouth, such as distillation flasks, fractionation flasks, etc., to form a sealed experimental device to prevent leakage during the experiment. It is composed of a single-layer glass tube, with hot steam to be cooled passing through the tube, and the outside of the tube is directly in contact with the air, and the steam in the tube is cooled by air convection.
Air cooling condenser with standard ground mouth is made of high borosilicate glass with high stability, the expansion coefficient is only 1/3 of ordinary glass, and it is corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant. It has high hardness, smooth surface, will not absorb impurities, and is easy to clean. The frosted and delicate sealing ensures no air leakage, the tube mouth is rounded, and the curled edge design of the tube mouth does not hurt your hands. The lathe is firmly welded, annealed at 600°C, and kept warm in the furnace until it cools naturally.

Product applications
(1) In chemical experiments, it is used to distill liquids with boiling points higher than 140°C, such as anthracene and biphenyl, to avoid glassware from breaking due to large temperature differences and to achieve distillation separation and purification. In the preparation of cinnamic acid and other organic reactions that require high temperature reflux and reactants or products with high boiling points, the volatiles are cooled and refluxed to ensure sufficient reaction and improve product yield.
(2) In chemical production, in the distillation of high-boiling point products such as dimethyl terephthalate, the top vapor is cooled to achieve product separation and purification. It is used to recover high-boiling point solvents such as N,N-dimethylformamide and dimethyl sulfoxide. Cooling their vapors facilitates recycling and reuse, reducing costs.
(3) In materials science, it can be used for polymer synthesis. When growing crystals by high-temperature solution method, the volatile solvent vapor is cooled and refluxed to maintain a stable solution concentration, which is conducive to obtaining high-quality crystals.
